Schedule of Workshops

Workshops are organized throughout the year for children to aid them in the fields of theatre, painting, music, poetry and puppetry. These workshops are aimed at successfully honing and nurturing skills amongst youngsters, in respective fields so that they can mirror their talents on stage. The Akademi has already produced two dramas – Mukut & Bireshwar which are presented at different children’s festivals. Workshops are also conducted for children interested in the field of cinema, which not only lends them an artistic view towards filmmaking, but also provides technical help. Children aged between 6 – 14 years make films, which are screened in the Our Films category of the Kolkata International Children’s Film Festival. This year, workshop will be conducted on various technical aspects of film making, namely Film Appreciation,camera, sound and editing where children above the age of 12 shall participate.
